Quiltathon at Unraveled!

Quiltathon started at Unraveled during the pandemic in October of 2020. We were looking for a way to safely gather, sew and help our community all in one fell swoop. We gathered quilters who rustled up donations like an old fashioned -thon, (think rockathon, dance-a-thon, the like) and we raised money for quilting charities, Quilts of Valor and Comfort Quilts. In 2021 we raised over $8,000 dollars for area food pantries, and in 2022, we raised $7,500 for the Indiana Chapter of Cystic Fibrosis.

In 2026, we’re raising money for Compass Rose Animal Sanctuary and The Sanctuary at Browning Farms!

We start the day early, in the parking lot of Unraveled Quilt Store outside under a big tent and sew until the wee hours of the next day. It’s an ENTIRE day of sewing! Quilters really are amazing. The photos below are just a snippet of what we’ve accomplished and we hope this tradition continues for many years to come.
